Romulo Aromin, Jr., MD

Dr. Romulo Aromin, Jr. is an accomplished physician, board certified in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. A published author, he has been in the academia for the last 20 years where he is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and is currently affiliated with Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He is at present, serving as Associate Director in Psychiatry for a large, integrated, non-profit health center organization in New York.

Dr. Aromin is a supporter of social advocacy and LGBT causes, and is a patron of theater and film, a lover of travel, gastronomy and writing. Through Hiraya Foundation, he envisions to establish a multidisciplinary collaborative centering on Filipinos in Diaspora, illuminating the invaluable contributions of Filipino immigrants as well as deepening the understanding of the Filipino-American experience and narrative in the United States.

Dely Po Go, DNP, RN, LNHA

Dr. Dely Po Go has a diverse nursing career in education and service, having worked as an administrator in long-term care as well as managing and developing a nursing agency with over 500 nurses. Her commitment to education is unquestionable, founding and serving as CEO of AVTECH Institute and Allied Health, a practical nursing school, as well as President/Owner of the Nursing Network Institute, a preschool education center. She is also a valued faculty member at William Paterson University and Farleigh Dickinson University; and a member of the advisory committee of Henry P. Becton School of Nursing.

Dr. Go has tirelessly demonstrated her commitment to the nursing profession via her continued educational pursuits, which include research centering on the use of simulation to promote the acquisition of sound clinical nursing judgment, and her volunteer work, meeting the needs of returning military personnel following overseas deployment. She has been conferred with numerous awards and distinctions which includes The Outstanding Filipino in America and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award where she was chosen by Mr. Marquis himself.

As President-Elect, she brings with her the same dynamism and commitment to the preservation of Filipino-American culture as well as the recognition of Filipino-Americans and foreign individuals promoting the interests of the Philippines and its people.

Leonora Galleros-Tinio, CPA, MBA

Leonora “Nora” Galleros-Tinio is the Managing Partner of Galleros Robinson CPAs, LLP, a full-service firm of over 50 professionals with offices in New York City, New Jersey, Florida, and the Philippines. She has over 20 years of professional experience in providing both assurance and consultancy services to public sector and commercial entities, including the City of New York, Metropolitan Transit Authority, and the City University of New York.

Nora is a community proponent and is currently the President of the Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI), a non-profit organization responsible for organizing and producing the largest annual Philippine Independence Celebration and parade, outside of the Philippines, in New York City. She has also served as board member in several non-profit organizations like the Mid-Bronx Senior Citizens Council which provides social, community development, affordable housing, head start and early education programs in New York and New Jersey. Her leadership and philanthropic efforts were lauded at Filipina Women’s Network in Paris last 2019 where she was named one of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World under the Economic Sector-Finance.

Nora Galleros-Tinio brings a deeper sense of credibility to the Hiraya Foundation’s thrust of institutionalizing the recognition of efforts to champion Filipino interests in the United States.

Lawrence Ira Safran

Lawrence Safran was the Law Review Note & Case Editor of the Boston University, where he also graduated magna cum laude and top of his class from the university’s School of Law. He is a senior partner at Latham & Watkins, LLP, a leading law firm with a global presence in 14 countries known for its non-hierarchical, collegiate management style and ambitious and entrepreneurial culture. He has delved into sophisticated, interdisciplinary, and cross-border work, including complex controversies and landmark transactions across a range of industries and geographies.

Larry is also published author on contracts and secured obligations, and he specializes in the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), a comprehensive set of laws governing commercial transactions in the U.S. He also participates regularly in the firm’s pro bono legal services, one of the largest in the world, taking on matters of public interest, including but not limited to diversity, equity, and inclusion issues. His induction into the Board of Trustees adds a whole new dimension in the Hiraya Foundation’s thrust, providing his legal expertise and experience as a torchbearer of social justice.

Jovito de Luna Rabelas

A globally award-winning brand architect, Jovito “Jovy” Rabelas is the Global President and Chief Executive of the Tagline Group - a network of 17 companies involved in advertising/marketing, lifestyle, education & consultancy, real estate, and business management. He has earned multiple recognition for his business and leadership sense, having been awarded accolades such as the International Star for Leadership in Quality Award in France, PEER Awards in the United Kingdom, and multiple Asia Pacific and International Stevie Awards.

Jovy’s pioneering spirit, passion for excellence, and zest for life were key to the expansion and success of his businesses. His foresight and gut instinct has always been on point, leading the organization to champion meaningful connections through creatively engineered brand experiences, with customer experience and digital transformation at the nucleus of operations.

Jovy is an earnest believer of continuous learning, perpetually enrolling himself in business, marketing, and design classes to further his knowledge, keeping himself abreast of global trends. He studied interior design at the British Academy in London, as well as Executive Business Management programs at the Zicklin School of Business in New York. At present, he is attending a global marketing class in UCLA, a welcome amplification of the already-impressive accomplishments that he brings to the table of the Hiraya Foundation’s Board of Trustees as its Press Relations Officer, helping build and strengthen the organization’s network and brand of service in the Philippines and United States.
